About the Event
The Shabbat arrives every Friday at sunset and continues through the following day until the sun sets completely. It commemorates the seventh day of Biblical creation, when the Torah says God stopped to rest and appreciate his creation. This a time for families to transition from their everyday lives to a more spiritual time. We will sing worship songs, engage in conversation, and share inspiring thoughts. The lighting of candles and the reciting of the kiddush blessing over wine precede the meal.
