Church History

Amen Always Community Church formerly Amen Always Ministries was founded in 2003, by Pastor Daric and Pastor Freda Stevens in Davie, Florida. Amen Always began as an outreach ministry at Nova Southeastern University campus, in Davie, Florida.

The Beginning

Amen Always Community Church opened with a Health and Healing Conference on NSU's campus with 55 people including students, staff, and residents in the local community. We also held bible study and chapel services for students and staff on NSU's campus. Amen Always had a Hospital Visitation Ministry, wherein our leaders often visited people in the hospitals to provide healing prayer, prayer for salvation, scripture reading, and spiritual support during crisis situations.

The Alignment

In 2018, Pastors Daric and Freda felt alignment between the calling and timing of God to launch the church - Amen Always Church. What began as an outreach ministry offering a food pantry, campus ministry, and hospital visitation quickly grew into a church for the people to experience the Love of Jesus without judgment.

The Pastors sought spiritual guidance from Pastor David and Dr. Tami Donnally, of Legacy Ministries in Lake Worth, Florida, as Founders and Overseers at EBC Seminary. Additionally, both Pastors enrolled in Bible College at Oral Roberts University to add to their knowledge of scripture and Biblical foundation for Christian Ministry.

The church launched on January 26, 2019 at Highlands Middle School at 10913 Pine Estates Rd E, Jacksonville, FL 32218. The church was a place in the community for people of all ethnic backgrounds to come together to worship and serve the Lord together.

Following COVID we relocated our sanctuary to 2255 Dunn Avenue Building 200 Suite 202 where we have in person service Wednesday & Saturday night at 6:30pm and Sunday Morning Worship at 9:30am.

In 2022, The church moved to Lugoff, Elgin where it first held services at Lugoff-Elgin Middle School on January 27, 2022. The church currently meets at 21 Roseborough Road Lugoff, SC 29078.

Together we are strengthening the community and bringing people together no matter where they come from to serve a greater purpose.
